We are Dave and Heidi. After visiting Scotland in 2013, we knew we’d make a return trip one day and this time we’re including Northern Ireland on the adventure.
Although our ancestors came from Ireland to America, we still believe a Scottish connection exists prior to their arrival in the Ulster area.
Dave has been researching both his McCausland and my Magee genealogy for years & years. We believe BOTH our families have roots in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Our all-time FANTASY would be that our McCausland and Magee families were from the same town and knew each other (with some 20-30 years difference in emigration dates). During this trip we visited potential family sites and truly felt a deeper sense of Celtic connection with our ancestors in Ulster and walking in their footsteps some 300 years later.
